Venturing into Interior Design from an Engineering Background
From the very beginning, my passion for design has been a guiding force in my life. Growing up, I was always captivated by objects that carried history: antiques, curios, and the subtle beauty of items that tell a story. This early fascination deeply influenced my approach to interiors. I envisioned spaces that feel collected rather than merely decorated, textured rather than flawless, and intimately connected to the people who inhabit them.
Despite pursuing a career in engineering, design remained a constant presence in my world. I never stopped studying interiors, exploring different materials, and honing my eye for detail whenever the opportunity arose. This creative energy simmered alongside my technical career, gradually growing stronger and leading me naturally toward a full-time design path.
Recently, after completing an online diploma in interior design, I took the leap to embrace this long-held passion professionally. This transition allowed me to blend my analytical skills with my creative instincts, offering a unique perspective that enriches my design work. Today, I specialize in high-end eclectic interiors that tell a story of evolution and soul. My work celebrates contrast and craftsmanship, emphasizing thoughtful curation to create spaces that feel lived-in, layered, and quietly compelling. Each project is an opportunity to craft environments that are not only beautiful but also deeply personal and reflective of their inhabitants.
Embarking on this journey from engineering to interior design has been both challenging and rewarding. It has taught me that creativity and technical expertise can coexist beautifully, resulting in spaces that are as functional as they are inspiring. Whether you come from a similar background or are simply exploring your passion, I encourage you to trust the process and let your unique story shape your design vision.
